Writing to AboutMyArea/NN12 Tom Wilson of East Midlands Delivery Team Highways England said, "You may be aware that work will commence in the area in the coming weeks maintaining the highways infrastructure. This letter contains information regarding the work and contact details if you have any queries.

"The A5 carriageway will remain open during the day, and will be closed overnight, Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8pm and 6am. Temporary speed restrictions will be in place only when necessary, to ensure the safety of motorists.
 
"The work will be undertaken in three phases. The first phase will start on 13th February 2017 until 14th May and the A5 will be closed in both directions between Old Stratford Roundabout and High Street, Potterspury.
 
"The second phase will start on 15th May until 23rd June and the A5 will be closed in both directions between Moorend Road, Potterspury and Grays Lane, Paulerspury.
 
"The final phase will start on 26th June and the A5 will again be closed in both directions between Old Stratford Roundabout and High Street, Potterspury with an anticipated completion date of 5th August.
 
"We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption you may experience and will do our best to complete the work as quickly as possible.

"Fully signed diversion routes, agreed with the local authority will be put in place with advance warning signs erected two weeks prior to the start of work. Please note that roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
 
"There is a dedicated 24/7 phone number and e-mail address you can contact at any time of the day or night (details below). Tom Wilson shall be answering queries during the day and prior to the start of the scheme whilst the Carnell site manager will respond during the hours we are on site."
