Dermalogica Facial:

Dermalogica is the skin care system researched and developed by The International Dermal Institute. Known  worldwide as the "professionals' choice," Dermalogica is founded on the belief that good skin care is not about pampering or luxury... any more than brushing your teeth or washing your hair is!

At Perfection Beauty we can provide a full range of Dermalogica treatments, from a quick Face Map to determine your skin type, to a full treatment facial for specific skin type. Some treatments are also available for the body's skin.

We are also stockists of Dermalogica products - what we don't have on the shelf can usually be with us within 48 hours.

Microdermabrasion:

Derma Genesis Microdermabrasion uses a highly controlled flow of fine, medical grade crystals to remove the dead, outermost layer of skin. This skin exfoliation process reveals the new, living skin cells that are soft, smooth and receptive to nutrients.

The procedure is performed by using a hand peice that the therapist passes over the skin. This evenly removes the outermost layer of skin. At the same time the underlying epidermis is also stimulated by the abrasion and vacuum. This promotes new collagen which thickens the dermis and improves resistance to the effects of ageing.

TCA Facial Peels:

A TCA facial peel improves the texture and integrity of the skin; it is great on its own but also works extremely well alongside the Collagen Wave treatment.

As a special introductory offer, we are giving you the two treatments together from £200 - a massive saving of £80!

What is it?

The peel solutions used at the clinic contain pure trichloroacetic acid (Tca) ranging from 5% to 20%.

Multiple treatments may be required depending on many factors including: age and nature of scarring/pigmentation and integrity and colour of the skin.

Results

Results vary depending on many factors including the condition of the skin, age and nature of scarring and pigmentation, use of medications and underlying medical conditions and appropriate aftercare.

Because of this we cannot guarantee results. We can only guarantee that this establishment and its specialist will use their best judgement and efforts on your behalf.

Side Effects

General Side Effects reported in literature are: pigmentation, scarring, re-activation of herpes simplex virus (cold sores) and disfigurement. Darker skin tones are more prone to pigmentation problems after peels. Although we have an excellent safety record and have not experienced these at this clinic it is important to understand that such complications can occur.

Correct administration hugely limits the possibility of such side effects. Gradual increment of peel depth, use of anti-ageing and anti-pigmentation creams and use of aciclovir to deter cold sores will lessen the possibility of side effects.

Darker skin tones and cold sore sufferers are advised to have less aggressive peels with intervals of 4-12 weeks.

After Botox, Skin Peels and microdermabrasion are the most popular skin rejuvenation treatments available. However, because clinically-performed skin peels normally involve a degree of discomfort, and a good few days out of action (while the old skin peels off), think how great it would be to have a solution which works from the inside out, rather than one which burns from the outside in, and requires little or no down-time.

Agera skin peels, such as Simply C and SLC Peels, are designed to penetrate the upper layers of the skin and safely and effectively stimulate the lift off of dead skin cells and at the same time generate skin renewal, whilst antioxidant production is enhanced along with fibroblast stimulation for increased collagen and elastin production.

CACI Facial Treatments:

The CACI is the most technologically advanced computer-aided beauty equipment available. This non-surgical facelift process tightens and tones sagging muscles, reduces lines and wrinkles, lifts jowls and cheeks, smoothes skin and defines facial contours. It produces immediate results. You will feel and see immediate improvement.

To maximize the effects a course of 10 treatments is required and it is encouraged to have 3 treatments in the first week, followed by 2 treatments per week thereafter. The last 2 or 3 treatments of the course should then be completed at weekly intervals. Following the course of 10 a monthly maintenance would be required.

Collagen Wave

Radiofrequency Skin Tightening: the real alternative to face lift surgery.

Radiofrequency has the ability to heat up deeper layers of the skin. Each time the device touches the skin, it delivers a safe and controlled amount of Radiofrequency energy. This heats a large area of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin and underlying tissue. The heating action causes deep collagen structures in the skin to immediately tighten, improving existing collagen.

Every thermal body therapy treatment is customized to your skin condition through the benefits of heat, touch and a sensory experience to give you a results-orientated body treatment.

Tanning Treatments

At Perfection Beauty we use a tanning product called Celebrity Bronze. Celebrity Bronze products are made with 100% natural ingredients, and have delicious fruity fragrances.

The solution rarely stains cotton clothing. Any residual colour can be easily removed in the wash. It is not advisable to wear wool, nylon or silk until a shower has been taken approximately 8 hours after the tanning application.

Your tan develops its full colour strength over a period of up to 24 hours.

Your tan can last between 4 - 14 days, depending on you skin type. Please note that chlorine and salt water may dry your skin and cause your sunless tan to fade faster.

Before & After your tan

• DO... Exfoliate, shave and wax night before. Giving pores time to close before your tan.
• DO... Wear dark loose fitting clothes on day of you tan.
• DO... Wear a dark bikini or bra & knickers / thong for your tan.
• DO... Help prolong your tan, moisturise daily and use a mild cleaner / soap on your skin. Showering instead bathing helps it to last little bit longer
• DO... Exfoliate to keep your tan even and prevent any patches when your tan starts to fade. You can do this after about 4-5 days.
• DON'T... wear make-up, perfume moisturiser, deodorant, perfume, foundation etc on the day of your tan, this will act as a barrier to the spray
• DON'T... Bath / shower for at least 8 hours after application of your tan and avoid any vigorous exercise / swimming during this time
• DON'T... Tan should not be applied to broken skin and during the first trimester of pregnancy. Some medications HRT & hormone level fluctuations may affect the outcome of the tan.

Waxing & Tinting:

Waxing is now a preferred method of hair removal for many women as there are so benefits from choosing waxing over shaving.

Benefits of waxing:

Tinting

Eyelash and eyebrow tinting can accentuate the eyes, and usually lasts 4-6 weeks.

Electrolysis:

Electrolysis is a safe and easy way for permanent hair removal. The method of removal kills the root of the hair stopping hair growth.

To permanently remove the hair, treatment must be carried out weekly for at least 4 weeks depending on the type of hair and area being treated.

This treatment removes darker hair and would not be suitable for light, fair hairs.
