covering Cosham to Southsea and all points in between - Connecting Portsmouth

It was an eventful week in the run up to Step 2 of the Coronavirus Roadmap. Sadly, there were tributes paid to HRH Prince Philip and local man Mark Pinhorne, both of whom will be dearly missed by their families.

We also witnessed four seasons worth of weather and saw the arrival of 5600 tonnes of rock that will form part of the new sea defences. Ricard Branson confirmed Virgin Voyages will be sailing from Portsmouth and Pompey got that sinking feeling when they relinquished their winning run under new Head Coach Danny Cowley.

There were also several stories around the re-opening of non-essential business from next week, something we have also looked forward to for so long and that will undoubtedly bring back some much needed vibrancy to the City. We wish all those re-opening their doors the very best and hope that it proves to be a successful step on the road to full recovery.

We were therefore excited to talk to Lulu Whitmore for our latest Tales From the City story, about the prospect of the Love Southsea markets returning to Palmerston Rd on April 17th.

We hope you all have a great week ahead and are able to support our local traders who we are sure will offer you a very warm welcome back.
