What an auspicious week for us to be celebrating our 200th - with a hugely successful CH64 Big Lunch last Sunday and the 199th Ladies Day coming up on Thursday. We are enormously grateful to all our readers, business supporters and contributors. To help us celebrate, we are giving away a lovely bottle of bubbly. Click here for details, and good luck! Sunday's Big Lunch was a tremendous community event. Well over 500 people enjoyed an afternoon of sun, picnics, entertainment and the chance to relax with family and friends. A huge shout out to CAN Group and the CH64 Events Group for a job very well done. This Thursday's Ladies Day will be another fabulous event - the roads are closed all afternoon in the town centre to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone. There will be some entertainment in between the traditional procession and services, so don't miss it! Also, coming up this weekend is the Burton & Puddington Summer Village Fete, featuring a World War II Dakota flypast - not to be missed. Just up the road, Ness Gardens are celebrating World Environment Day, so why not visit both events? For a full list of what's coming up in the Neston area, see our Events Guide here. In amongst all the good things going on, there have unfortunately been a few incidents of anti-social behaviour recently.
