Welcome to Neston News - your weekly round up of local news and events in the Neston area.

Click here for Online version (if your email or mobile programme has mangled the layout).

From now on we are in countdown mode, as every day brings another piece of the puzzle falling into place for the 200th Anniversary celebrations of Neston Female Society and Ladies Club Day.

Last week, 100 schoolchildren gathered in the Town Hall to record the Anthem that has been composed in tribute to the bi-centenary.  It sounds amazing - it is currently being produced in CD format and a video will be uploaded shortly to both AMA and YouTube.  Some time in the next week the special Neston bunting will be hung in the town centre - the designs on the pennants were created by local children.  Next Tuesday the Exhibition will open at Neston Library and, of course, Neston Players take to the Civic Hall from Wednesday 28th May with their home-grown play, 'A Walk Through Time.'  Tickets are ON SALE NOW.

CAN Group will be running a public flower stave workshop at the Town Hall on Weds 4 June - you MUST book by no later than Weds 28th May if you'd like to go along, to give them a chance to order enough flowers and poles for everyone.

There are other things going on too (!) - this weekend sees the return of Neston Flicks at the Civic Hall and Farm Feast at Claremont Farm. The following weekend it's time for the ever popular CH64 Big Lunch.  Check out our What's On guide for all the other local events, too.

Have a great week!
