A stunner of a header shot this week from Steve Ebbrell - the marsh with a low mist over the distant water, taken early on a very cold morning.

So, something of a hiccup last weekend, as we had to postpone the Lights 'n' Lanterns event due to the weather. A massive thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and for the overwhelming support received for the decision. It really wasn't an easy one to make, knowing the disappointment it would cause. However, the good news is it has now been re-scheduled for this coming Saturday, so let the festive joy continue!

Last weekend there were lovely festive markets in town and the winners of this year's Christmas shopping promotion were revealed. Details here.

Coming up....as well as Lights 'n' Lanterns, this weekend it's time for the Elephant Santa Dash from Neston to Parkgate (on Sunday), as well as the Parkgate Pony Sanctuary Grotto and Parade, Christmas Weekend at Ness Gardens and a Community Carol Service at the URC. All upcoming Christmas events are listed here.

Also on Sunday it's the Hip & Harmony 'Celebration of our youth' event at the Civic Hall, so it will be a busy few days here at AMA Towers as we race to publish photos and stories of all these events, for your enjoyment. Bear with us, we will get them on the website as quickly as we can.
