Crossroads - Caring for Carers
|Published: 14th March 2008 12:14|
If you look after a relative or child, partner or a friend who needs your help because they are ill, frail or have a disability, you probably find it extremely difficult to have some time for yourself.
Crossroads' professional team of Carer Support Workers offer a unique, practical and efficient service that allows carers to take a well-earned break as and when they need it. Whether it's visiting friends, enjoying a trip to the cinema or simply spending some time alone, Crossroads can help carers to take some essential time out.
Crossroads also runs the CAMEO Club (Come And Meet Each Other), providing essential support and activity for those suffering from memory loss. Members use the club to learn new skills, rediscover old ones and develop new and lasting relationships. There are weekly meetings in Neston, find out more by contacting the team using the details below.
