As part of the Neston Spring Festival of St George, children in the CH64 area were invited to enter an Art Competition.
Neston Primary School pulled out all the stops, submitting the vast majority of entries. In a particularly innovative move, a series of pupils' pictures were designed to sit side by side to tell the story of St George and the Dragon.
Prizes of art materials vouchers, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Neston, will be presented to the winners and runners-up in the two categories - 8's & Under and 9's & Over.
The Results
Winner - 9's & Over, Joshua Molyneux (11)
Winner - 8's & Under, Jesse McEvoy (8)
Runner-up, 9's & Over, Daniel Penny (13)
Runner-up - 8's & Under, Phoebe Connah (5)
The judges were Neston Library Manager Susannah Hill, CAN Group's Eileen Miller and Ron Chalmers representing Neston and District Art Society (NADAS).

The intention originally was to display all the entries at the Town Hall during this weekend's NADAS exhibition. However, due to lack of space, just the winners and runners-up are to be displayed there, with all the other entries available to view at Neston Community & Youth Centre (NC&YC).
After the weekend the winning entries will be reunited with the rest at NC&YC. At some point next week, the "Story of St George" will be displayed at the Town Hall to give even more people the opportunity to view these wonderful pictures
Here are just a few of the other entries, which will show how difficult it was for the judges to pick the winners!
