Get Ready For a Happy, Healthy Neston

An initiative to energise Neston is being launched by Cheshire West and Chester Councillors Louise Gittins and Nigel Jones.
The initiative aims to kick start a range of activities that Neston residents feel are missing in their community.
In July at the Neston Village Fair a consultation was carried out that asked people about their current activity levels and what they felt would encourage them to be more active.
Cllr Nigel Jones, said: "The results show that some 47% of females in Neston move a lot while only 31% of men move a lot. We would really like to improve these figures and want to focus on one particular area of the survey that caught our attention.
"The analysis highlights the need for more group activities for people to join. These activities include:
- Dance classes".
Cllr Louise Gittins added: "To begin to capture people's interest and shape groups that are really relevant to what our residents want, we would like to form a small steering group. The group would shape the formation of new groups and their programmes of activity and support our overarching aim to make Neston, happy and healthy."
The local councillors are inviting anyone interested to contact Rebecca Irving by email: Rebecca.firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is intended that a meeting will be scheduled in late October to discuss moving this exciting new imitative forward.
