A 5-a-side Veterans football league will be launched at Neston Recreation Centre in March and will continue throughout the summer months.
The over 35's league, which will be based at the Recreation Centre, will begin on March 1 at 7pm.
The Sport Development team is looking to recruit a minimum number of four teams to play at Neston Recreation Centre, where all of the games will be held.
Neston and Parkgate Councillor Brenda Dowding said: "This is a wonderful way to keep fit, and I believe it to be an idea that is really going to take off.
"This could present a marvellous opportunity for kids to take their dads to football and maybe take their turn at standing on the sidelines offering good advice."
Steve Butterfield, Sports Development Officer, added: "As part of Cheshire West and Chester Council's ‘Back to Sport' scheme, the veterans' football league is designed to re-introduce adults back to sport they once played or have developed an interest in.
"We urge anyone interested to apply, as this is an opportunity not to be missed!"
Teams are invited to register their interest and sign up as soon as possible here.
