AboutMyArea EN9 community information for Waltham Abbey, Upshire and Nazeing

Welcome 

We hope you find this website enjoyable and informative - first and foremost it is community website to inform local residents in the EN9 region (Waltham Abbey, Upshire, Nazeing and the surrounding villages) about what is going on, to report on positive news, to support and forge links in the community as well as help promote our businesses and the wonderful attractions we have in our historic town.  To make a difference!

We have only launched a year ago, but we are working towards the website including everything you need to know locally all in one place.  The more contributions from the community, the more interesting and informative the website will become - please join in and help it grow and develop.  Keep the spirit of community alive in EN9.

Babes in the Wood Competition

Thanks for everyone who entered our new competition to WIN a complimentary family ticket to Becket Drama Company's "Babes in the Wood" Panto on Saturday 23 January at 2.30pm. 

Our winnner Taylor Cain and his friend Danni had a brilliant time at the Panto and thanks to the cast and crew of Becket Drama Company for making the afternoon so special.   

Don't miss their next production "A Murder is Announced" by Agatha Christie at Waltham Abbey Town Hall on 13-15th May 2010.  Please see their new website launching soon at: www.becketdramacompany.co.uk

New Health & Lifestyle Sections

Please take a look at our new Health Section with articles and information on Medical, Fitness and Wellbeing.   We would like to thank LG Personal Training for sponsoring this section and for their monthly Fitness Tip of the Month.

Also new for September is our a Lifestyle Section with articles and information on Green Issues, Money Matters, Motoring, Food & Drink, Home, Gardening, Pets Corner, People and IT Tips.

More will be added to these two sections, so take a look back soon.  We are looking for content article contributions for these new sections.  Please get in touch if you can help.

All charities, schools and clubs can promote their events, write and include articles for FREE.  Just email us and we will upload the details on the website or you could become a Sub Editor.

If you do not have your own website, we could give your club their own section of the website to help increase your membership and communicate with current members.
