Event focuses on county health services
A community event hosted by Warwickshire LINK (Local Involvement Network) on Thursday 25th November will give people the opportunity to find out how financial and policy changes will affect services in Warwickshire - and have their say.
The ‘Surviving the Cuts - Together' event, which will be held at the Benn Hall, Newbold Road, Rugby between 10.30am and 3.15pm, will provide residents with the opportunity to influence the development of a local Health Watch to ensure a stronger community voice about health and social care.
Nick Gower-Johnson, County Localities & Communities Manager at Warwickshire County Council, and Rachael Pearce of NHS Warwickshire will explain the local implications of Health Watch for Warwickshire and what happens next.
Attendees will be able to participate in a ‘Question Time' session with a panel including:
- Paul Jennings, Chief Executive of NHS Warwickshire
- Paul Tolley, Chief Executive of Warwickshire CAVA (Community & Voluntary Action)
- Councillor Mrs Seccombe, Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care, Warwickshire County Council
- Chief Executive of George Eliott or South Warwickshire Hospital
- Dr D Spraggett, GP Commissioning Consortium
After the ‘Question Time' session, which will be chaired by Jerry Roodhouse, Chair of LINK Warwickshire, attendees will be able to rate the speakers on their answers.
Stands from various key organisations will be on display and giving out information at the event.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served' basis and need to be booked by 15 November by calling Gloria Godfrey on 01926 833907 or Barbara Craig on 01926 833908. Booking forms can also be downloaded at www.wcava.org.uk.
