CAN YOU RISE TO THE CHALLENGE FOR CANCER CHARITY?
Marie Curie Cancer Care are looking for aspiring daredevils from the North of England to sign up and take part in a very special tandem skydive day in Lancaster. The jump will take place on Saturday 26th May and the charity is hoping to raise in the region of £12,000 towards Marie Curie Nursing Care in the North.
Sam James, Event Fundraiser said, "This is the challenge of a lifetime and an opportunity to do something that you can look back on with pride and amazement. However, by taking this epic step outside your comfort zone for a few minutes, the monies you raise will help to fund many hours of free specialist nursing care, to allow people with terminal cancer and other illnesses to be treated within the comfort of their own homes".
Sam went on to say, "The jump is from a staggering height of 12,000 feet but thankfully you will be harnessed to an expert instructor, so whilst skydiving is a challenge even for the bravest of people, this will ultimately be a hands-free experience for participants to really embrace the challenge and enjoy the thrill and exhilaration of the ride".
To register to take part in the jump alongside Sam, go to www.mariecurie.org.uk/parchuting or call 08700 340 040 for more information.
