Creating Articles
To create new article follow these simple steps:
- Log into your AMAZing Place
- Click Articles
- Click Create Article
- Add your content details:
- Headline/Title: This will appear at the top and also in the aggregator on the home page
- Article Summary: Give your readers a short description of the story, this is also what is used for the newsletter. If this is left blank then the first part of the article is put in its place.
- Article Group: Decide what section of the site your article will appear on the site.
- Article Text: The main article and pictures go here.
- Byline: Author’s (you) name to appear on the article
- Allow comments: This is a good idea as encourages the interaction of the community online, asking questions within the article will prompt comments from readers too.

- Once you are happy with your article hit the ‘Next’ button at the bottom to choose the geographical area that the article will appear
- Now you can save this as a draft or to publish it hit the ‘Zing it!’ button (this is what AMAers call putting anything live on the websites).
Your Article has now been created!
Viewing or Editing Articles
To view all your existing Articles follow these simple steps:
- Log into your AMAZing Place
- Click Articles
- Click My Articles
- You will automatically see a list of all articles that you have published
- You can change the list using the drop down menu at the top
- Click on the article title to view or edit the article
Deleting content
Although you cannot delete content, you can unpublish it by following these simple steps:
- Log into your AMAZing Area
- Click Articles
- Click My Articles
- Click on the article you wish to remove
- Click on Save as Draft
Your content has now been removed from publication.
