Blue's Greats 'Chickenshack' to play at Hessle

One of the most influential and iconic British blues bands will be appearing in the East Riding later this month. Fronting his longtime band Chickenshack, founder member Stan Webb will bring his powerful style of guitar driven blues to Hessle Town Hall on Saturday March 13th.
Quite a few years have passed since the heady days when "I'd Rather Go Blind" made a major impact on the charts, and some of those years haven't always been kind to one of the great bands of the British blues boom of the sixties. However, Stan and the band have stuck at it, playing the only way they know how - with a passion and verve that such wonderful music deserves.
Now deservedly recognised for their outstanding talent the band is back at the forefront of the blues scene and Chickenshack are thrilling fans old and new with their undiminished thirst to bring the best of raw British blues back to the stage. This will be a fantastic opportunity to see one of the great names of British music in an intimate setting - previous appearances by the band have been rapturously received.
The evening will also feature an appearance by hugely talented local duo Farino, playing their unique blend of ‘latin based flamenco with a touch of Hull'
