Towcester's October Farmer's Market On Friday

Author: James Rudd Published: 3rd October 2010 10:22

Towcester's orignal Farmers Market run by Towcester and District LionsTowcester's orignal Farmers Market run by Towcester and District LionsTowcester Farmer's Market takes place on the second Friday of each month at Richmond Road car park, behind Waitrose.

The farmers market is run by Towcester and District Lions Club - and all profits from holding the market go directly back into the local community.

At a typical market you'll find more than twenty quality stalls featuring fresh vegetables and fruit, mushrooms, locally reared beef, lamb, pork, game, fresh fish and poultry. Freshly baked organic bread, cheese and goats cheese, free range eggs and honey from local hives, savoury pies, quiches, ready made meals, pickles, chutneys and herbs.

For sweet delights, try delicious locally baked cakes and cookies, home-made jams and marmalades. For your kitchen and garden there are herbs and plants.

You can talk to the producers who have grown, reared or made the food you are buying and be confident about the quality.

Richmond Road is located close to the town centre just off Watling Street - the main A5 through Towcester. There is ample free parking at the adjoining Waitrose supermarket.
