    We haven't had many runners in the last week but I was delighted to have our first winner of the season at Worcester on Friday evening. Orchard Thieves got us off the mark in the 2m7f novice hurdle with Tom Scu in the saddle.   • Ely and District Cycling Club, Derek Ricketts gets fastest time of the day

    On Saturday John Manlow was the sole Ely and District Cycling Club representative at the Hitchin Nomads race held on the F14/25 course near Guilden Morden. John's time of 1:01:34 was a course personal best for him, nearly a minute faster than his previous best, and put him in 28th place on the day.
