Portsmouth Counselling Service to Close in December

Portsmouth Counselling Service will be closing
on the 23rd DecemberPortsmouth Counselling Service has announced that it will close in December after 23 years.
The charity which is based at the Wesley Centre in Fratton is dependent on funding from the Portsmouth NHS Clinical Commissioning group and Portsmouth City Council.
They have said that the CCG has decided not to offer any more funding.
The service which was run by volunteers offered counselling to all irrespective of race, gender, social or financial circumstances. In 2015, it provided 2474 counselling and assessment sessions.
The current Substance Misuse Counselling Contract comes to an end at the end of October then a different provider will take over from the 1st November.

All Saints – They are available to all and their counselling rooms are at the All Saints Centre, All Saints Church, Commercial Road, Portsmouth. There is no set hourly fee but they ask for affordable

Aquillis Counselling Service
The number of sessions is agreed on an individual basis, depending on your needs. We often find that 8 sessions work well. We can also work longer term for ongoing issues, personal development or for trainee counsellors. Fees start at £35 per session. 023 9228 3636.
