Former students of King Richard School got a chance to look round this week ahead of its demolition.
The school which was built in 1952 is being replaced by a new building which pupils will be moving into after half term.
Shirley Hobbs, a former pupil, went to the open night and took the following photos.
Shirley said, "It was a great experience to return to the school one last time. I attended with my younger brother Peter Brown and met up with friends from my school days.
"We had a lovely evening walking the school corridors remembering classrooms and teachers. In one of the photos myself and my friend Shirley Johnson are sitting at a desk, Shirley and I are still best friends.
"I am grateful to Gareth and the school governors for allowing us this opportunity. It is sad to say goodbye but walking around the school I could see it has seen better days and I wish all the staff and pupils well in the new school building.what a wonderful prospect for the community to have a brand new school."
