Work Party
Writing to AboutMyArea/NN12 Linda Lofts of Towcester Wildlife Group said, "We are having a Working Party event in the Tove Wetland Pocket Park on Saturday 14th October 2017, from 10am for a maximum of 2 hours.
"We are looking for helpers, and the time taken will depend on how many volunteers we get.
"As part of the ongoing maintenance of the site, we have to cut, and then do manual raking up of, the aggressive Willow Herb plants that take over the flood plain. This is to allow other plant species to grow, and to keep the nutrient levels on the site down.
"The working party will be raking the cuttings and piling them up.
"If you can help with the raking, please let Nick Holder know - nickholder@btinternet.com
"We will be meeting up at 88 Belle Baulk (post code NN12 6YE) at 10am. Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day. Rakes and forks will be provided, but if you want to bring your own, feel free."
