South Northamptonshire – Perfectly Placed for Growth

South Northamptonshire Council hosted the Innovation & Investment Conference last week which showcased their renowned open for business approach and to most importantly, to thank all local businesses for their contribution to the local economy.
Over 170 local businesses attended this informative and interactive event, which was the brainchild of the Leader of South Northamptonshire Council, Councillor Ian McCord SNC Leader.
The evening provided delegates with important information on South Northamptonshire’s position within the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor, offered insight into the exciting high-tech developments taking place in the district, as well as promote the impressive work of the Silverstone Technology Cluster.
A big thank to you our amazing speakers which included; Iain Stewart MP, Stuart Pringle, Silverstone Circuits Ltd, Roz Bird, MEPC – Silverstone Park, Dr Rob Lewis OBE, Total Sim and Councillor Ian McCord, Leader of South Northamptonshire Council. Not forgetting our sponsors who provided some amazing e-sport activities; Virtually Entertained, Silverstone Circuits Ltd and 4Events.
Addressing the event, Cllr McCord said: “No matter what the changes that take place within local government are, we want you to rest assured that my priority will remain to support businesses. It does not matter what the name of the council is that send the rates bill, it’s the way they make you feel welcome and the environment that we create which is important."
Roz Bird from Silverstone Park said “I want to say thank you to South Northants Council for organising this event, this is why it’s great to get together, it’s great to do it in a great facility like the wing we are really lucky. I think we should go away feeling very positive about what’s happened already, what we’ve achieved and there are some great opportunities for the future."
