Easy Access

Braised Broccoli with Olives

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 40 mins

Serves: 4

Ingredients

750g broccoli (calabrese or purple sprouting)
2 cloves garlic
juice of half a lemon
1 dried red chilli
3 tbsp olive oil
15 black olives



Instructions

  1. Cut the broccoli into large florets and place in a large shallow frying pan.
  2. Crush the garlic and add to the pan, along with the lemon juice and finely chopped chilli.
  3. Stir in the olive oil and 150ml water. Cover and cook on a low heat for 35 mins. Add the olives then cook for a further 5 mins.


A simple and tasty side dish that can be made with either calabrese or purple sprouting broccoli.
