Fun for all the family at Park Play Day

Stanney Fields Park is hosting an afternoon of fun for all the family in August.
The Park Play Day is being held on Saturday 16 August in Stanney Fields Park in Neston from 1pm to 4.30pm.
Mayor Frank Butcher will open the event, and there will be a host of activities and entertainment for families and young people.
Activities on the day will include:
- Come and try bowling with Neston Bowling Club
- Cycling activities from Cycling Projects
- Steam traction engine rides for children
- Mobile climbing wall
- Badge making with SureStart
- Face painting with CAN
- Countryside Rangers environmental workshop
- Family entertainers
- Road safety roadshow
- Wheelspark activities
- Sports Frenzy Futsal - a football skills game
- Art and crafts
- Stalls from local organisations
Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council's Park Development Officer Mary Lavery said: "We really hope as many people as possible head to the park for the play day. It promises to be a great event with something for all ages to enjoy."
Admission is free and the event is being organised by the Friends of Stanney Fields Park with financial support for the event from the Big Lottery Fund Freedom to Play and Cheshire Road Safety.
Come along to support the friends and have an enjoyable afternoon in your local park.
