Cheshire-based Ladson group played host to a variety of visitors last week at the official launch of Renaissance, the conversion of Neston's former police station on Hinderton Road.
Guests included Neston and Parkgate councillor Brenda Dowding and outgoing Mayor of Ellesmere Port and Neston, Keith Butcher. Visitors were treated to a glass of champagne and guided tours of the ground-floor show home following a welcome speech from Ladson director, Ashley Ladson.

Members of neighbouring associations including Neston Civic Society were in attendance to celebrate the renovation of the landmark building which was the subject of much debate when it was originally decided to relocate Neston's policing provision to the Town Hall. Former Mayor, Keith Butcher, elaborates:
‘It was important to many local people that this building was preserved and it is wonderful to see the transformation which the former police station has undergone. Having achieved listed status, Ladson's development will safeguard the future of this building for many generations to come.'
The listed 1930s building has been sympathetically converted and extended into 43 luxury apartments for the over 55s.
The main two-storey central building with its seven bays, central parapet and sash windows has been retained, with an additional two and a half-storey new-build to the rear. The art-deco frontage and internal features such as the grand central stairway and deco balustrade, have been preserved.
Ashley Ladson comments: ‘We are delighted that so many guests were able to join us to celebrate the much awaited opening of the Renaissance development. We know that this building holds a special place in the history of Neston and the hearts of local people and we're optimistic that the end result will enhance the lives of not only its residents, but also the wider community as a whole.'
