Neston Town Council vacancy re-advertised

Neston Town Council have today officially re-posted the notice of a casual vacancy for a Ness ward councillor.

There are 17 seats on the Council, 1 of which is in the Ness Ward.  The vacancy has arisen following the resignation of Cllr Mike Wellman due to ill health.

In order for an election to be required, 10 residents of the Ness ward would have to write to claim an election wthin 14 days of the notice being posted (i.e. by June 2nd), otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option at a full Council meeting on June 15th.

Anyone wishing to be considered for co-option should send a written application, including brief biographical details and qualifications, to the Town Clerk by June 9th.
