Health and Councillor Brenda Dowding, Executive
Member for Adult Social Care and Health.
The 15 organisations have come together with the aim of ensuring that if anyone contacts them they will do their utmost to help whatever the query. They have promised not to simply pass people on to another organisation, unless they are satisfied that the person will continue to be looked after.
The organisations involved with the Council are: Age UK Cheshire, Body Positive Cheshire and North Wales, British Red Cross, Cheshire Carers' Centre, Cheshire Centre for Independent Living, Cheshire West Citizen's Advice Bureau, Deafness Support Network, DIAL House, DICE Ltd, Making Space, Mencap, Multiple Sclerosis Support Centre, Neuromuscular Centre, Vale Royal Disability Services.
Speaking on behalf of the Consortium, Parkgate Councillor Brenda Dowding, Executive Member for Adult Social Care and Health, said: "By working closely together we're aiming to make it as easy as possible for people to access the care and support they need, whether it's for themselves or for someone they care for.
"We understand that sometimes it can be frustrating and difficult to find your way around the care system. Our promise is all about taking ownership of your query. We hope that sometimes we will be able to deal with it directly, but often we will need to involve more than one organisation from our consortium to help you.
"It's all about doing our best to make sure that you get all the help and advice you need from our different organisations without being passed from one place to another."
