A man will appear in Court next month charged with stealing a war memorial plaque from a village churchyard.
Overnight on Friday 29th/Saturday 30th July, thieves stole a metal plaque listing names of fallen war heroes from Christ Church, Neston Road at Willaston.
In the days that followed, officers from Ellesmere Port Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant at an address on Mellock Lane, Little Neston. 39 year old Michael Coyle was arrested and later granted bail pending further investigation.
He was charged today with handling stolen goods and will appear before Magistrates in Chester on 12th October 2011.

Sadly though, a fine will be issued to be repaid at a leisurely pace by those convicted, little more can be expected by UK law who recognise criminals 'rights' more than their 'wrongs'
They should run a split article on it in all the local rags, showing the various parades that took place in the area and and then an update of the memorial plaque theft story on the same page
