Beggars belief doesn't it ? How many millions of men died in two world wars for freedom that thieves use to effectively defecate on this memorial - Birching would be the minimum I would want for whomever gets convicted for this

Sadly though, a fine will be issued to be repaid at a leisurely pace by those convicted, little more can be expected by UK law who recognise criminals 'rights' more than their 'wrongs'

Coyle appeared in court, but the case was adjourned to allow for more evidence to be collected etc. He was released on bail until October 28 on condition he does not enter any scrap metal dealers’ yard in England and Wales.

Is this the Michael Coyle of Mellock Lane Neston who whilst drunk, attacked and beat his neighbour in a row over 'Britains Got Talent. In December 2009 he received an eight month jail sentence, suspended for two years for breaking the neighbours nose and biting his face. He was also ordered him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £400 costs. This theft took place within the 2 years so if convicted, would a significant sentence follow?

I wonder if Coyle dared showed his face in Neston yesterday with the remembrance parade taking place ?

They should run a split article on it in all the local rags, showing the various parades that took place in the area and and then an update of the memorial plaque theft story on the same page
