Wirral Theatre School student Lauren Arnison has landed a starring role in the UK touring production of 'Annie.'

Lauren, who also attends Neston High School, originally auditioned for a small part in the production, which stars veteran TV actress Su Pollard. However, just as Lauren and her family were about to board a plane for a holiday in Spain, she received a phone call with the exciting news that she was being offered the lead role of Annie.
After spending much of the holiday feverishly learning her lines, on her return to the UK she was whisked straight off to spend a fortnight rehearsing with the rest of the cast and the production is now touring the UK for four months.
This is a dream come true for 13 year old Lauren, but the exciting news for the Arnison family doesn't stop there. Lauren's brother Ross is about to play the lead role in Ann Dalton's production of 'Her Benny' which is to be staged at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall in mid October.
Both Lauren and Ross are students at the thriving Wirral Theatre School, located in Ness, near Neston, where similar success stories are flooding in. Nine year old student Lauren Wood is also playing a lead role in the Ellesmere Port production of 'Her Benny' as ‘Nel'. Fellow students Chloe Gleave and Zoe Jackman also have main parts.
Student Lucy Brookes, aged 9, has been accepted for a second year as a Junior Associate of the prestigious Royal Ballet School.
The school has also been approached by Jonathan Blazer's Production Company to provide dancers for the forthcoming production of Aladdin to be held at Neston Civic Hall in January 2012.
Wirral Theatre School continues to keep in touch with ex-pupils, including Jenny Murray, who is about to set sail around the world with a cruise line and Lucinda Brereton, who is appearing in London's West End in Andrew Lloyd Webber's ‘Love Never Dies'.
All students at the school are given the opportunity to take part in examinations, demonstrations, competitions and shows and were recently invited to take part in a MacMillan Charity Show in Ellesmere Port which was a huge success.
