Robert Bloxam's search was over. At the end of the narrow alleyway, the shop window was stacked with cameras, lenses, filters and all the other paraphernalia a photographic freak needed. He wondered why he hadn't come across this place before.
A bell tinkled as the door shut behind him. The shop was deserted. He picked his way through a field of tripods towards the polished mahogany counter. When he was half way, and before he had time to react, there was a movement and a blinding flash..............

This extract is from the second anthology of poems and short stories published by The Borderliners, a small group of amateur writers who meet weekly at The Rake, Little Stanney. The group was formed about seven years ago and originally met at Borders book store at Cheshire Oaks (hence the name).
This publication is dedicated to one of the group's founder members who passed away in January 2011 and, at his family's request, all proceeds will be donated to the Oncology Unit at Clatterbridge Hospital.
