Zumba Meets Pudsey for Claire House

Zumba enthusiasts have helped raise over £2500 and found a new home at Claire House for Pudsey.

Between November 18th and 21st, over 175 participants from Wirral, Cheshire and the Liverpool area descended on Presthaven Sands Holiday Park in Prestatyn for a Zumba Fitness Weekend hosted by Jennifer Emery of ZJ Events Ltd.

Attendees took part in themed Zumba Fitness classes, Zumba Toning classes and Aqua Zumba classes throughout the weekend.

On the Sunday of the weekend, ZJ Events hosted a 2 hour 'Zumbathon' for Children in Need. As a result, just under £500 was raised. 

Various prizes were raffled, including a large Pudsey cake donated by The Enchanted Cake Company. The Pudsey cake was won by Jennifer Emery (aka ZumbaJen)'s Naughty Corner girls from her Neston class.

Lorraine Theohari, from the Naughty Corner, said: "We wanted to ensure Pudsey went to a good home, so it is great that Claire House have agreed to take him in."  Pudsey has now headed off to Claire House to be introduced to his new family.

Jennifer Emery said: "The children at Claire House are going to love Pudsey and I am so pleased that they will get the opportunity to enjoy him. I have been involved in two Zumbathon charity events for Claire House this year and, together with other instructors across the Wirral including Zumba Salsa Wirral, we have raised over £2500 for Claire House."
