Just Two Days Left to Nominate Wirral Youth Heroes

Wirral YFC are vibrant youth and schools work charity who are passionate about their work and the young people they are in contact with.
They have now launched the 2012 Wirral Youth Heroes Awards and are looking for nominations.
The organisers said: "The Wirral is home to 1,000′s of young people who are heroes and we want to find the most inspirational from amongst them. We want to publicly affirm and thank them for all that they do and highlight them as a small glimpse of the massive majority of young people in the Wirral who are ‘Youth Heroes'!"

The closing date for nominations is 10th February 2012.
The 2012 Categories are:
- Great Sporting Achievement
- Contribution to the Arts
- Overcoming Illness/Disability
- Courage & Bravery
- Enterprise
- Educational Achievement
- Community Action
- Inspirational Volunteer Young Carer
And the ultimate 2012 Youth Hero award for Outstanding Achievement which will be chosen from amongst the short-listed candidates from each of the categories above.
The award ceremony will be taking place on Friday 24th February at the Thornton Hall Hotel. Tickets and tables are available for the event, which is open to members of the public as well as the nominees and their supporters. Click here for more information.
