Online voting has now opened for this year's Neston's Got Talent competition.
Full details of how to vote are included in the following two articles. You have one vote, per email address, in each of the two categories:
Vote in the 5-13 years age category
Vote in the 14+ years age category
Voting closes on Wednesday, 4th July 2012 at 6pm.
PLEASE NOTE - You must be registered with AboutMyArea to vote. After registering, you will be sent an automated email. You need to respond to that email in order to complete the registration and be able to vote. We have had some people contact us to ask why they still cannot vote after registering, it will be because you have not yet clicked on the link in the confirmation automated email, so please look out for it and check in your spam folder in case it has slipped in there by accident.
Below is the full story of the auditions, held during the last week of May.
Auditions were held this week at Neston Parish Church for the 2012 Neston's Got Talent competition.
A wide variety of acts took to the stage, demonstrating a huge amount of talent and leaving the judges with a very tough task.
Entries were invited in two age categories - 5-13 years and 14 and over. In all, 17 acts performed. The intention was for the judges, Julie Trimmer from Sainsbury's, Ruth Hall from E.R.I.C. (Empowering Resources in the Community) and Neston Town Councillor Dean Munday, to select three acts from each age category to go through to a public vote. In the end, they found it so difficult to whittle down the array of talent that they asked to bend the rules and allow four acts through from each group instead.

Voting
The auditions were filmed by Dave Bladen of Elite Video and Television, and the 8 finalists' clips will be uploaded onto AboutMyArea Neston on Friday 8th June. The public will then have the opportunity to vote for their favourites in each category. This will make up 70% of the final vote, with the remaining 30% in the hands of the judges when all eight acts perform again in the Finals at Neston Village Fair on 7th July. Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd acts in each category, with the prize fund kindly donated by Sainsbury's, Neston.

Our photographs below show each of the acts that performed. Please note that these are AboutMyArea's photos, not those of Linda Pelling, who was only available to come along at the end of the auditions to take the photos of all the finalists together, and the judges. Hence they may not be the best quality, but you get the gist!
Congratulations to all the acts who took part in the auditions - you were all AMAZing.
