Police Urge Residents to Check Sheds and Gardens in Search for Willaston Pensioner

Police searching for Wirral pensioner David Hannam are urging residents in Willaston and Neston to search their sheds and gardens.
The search is continuing into its fourth day for the 80-year-old from Neston Road, Willaston who was reported missing by his family on Sunday 25 November. He was last seen by his family on Thursday 22 November. CCTV captured Mr Hannam in a newsagents in Neston Road early on Saturday morning.
Police have been joined by Cheshire Search and Rescue, North East Wales Search and Rescue and local residents in an effort to trace him.
David is described as 5′ 10" tall, of stocky build with thin balding grey hair, bushy grey eyebrows and of a stocky build. He wears spectacles.
Inspector Richard Hill said: "This behaviour is out of character and we are concerned for his wellbeing. We are appealing to anyone who may have seen David or someone matching his description to come forward. The bad weather over the last few days increases the ever growing concern we have for David and we have officers out in the local area searching for him, using all means at our disposal including search and rescue, air support and dog units."
Insp Hill added: "I′d like to thank everyone, especially local residents, who have joined us in our search. This shows real comunity spirit."
Neston residents have set up a facebook page - Help Find David Hannam. Many are also out searching during the day and night in the local area.
Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 414 of 25 November.
