Neston Air Cadet Natalie is One of the Best

Flight Sergeant Natalie Fields, 2375 (Neston) Squadron, Air Cadets, has beaten hundreds of cadets and awarded for all her efforts by winning the "Squadron Leader Lloyd Trophy".
The trophy is presented for being nominated as the best female in Wales and West Region, making her one of the top six female cadets in the country.
FS Fields has, from day one, taken part in all that the Air Cadets can offer. She's not only passed courses in First Aid, BTEC Public Services, BTEC Aviation Studies, Community Sports Leaders Award, but, also gained her Elementary Pilot (Paragliding), Basic Coaching (.22 Air Rifle)and BCU 2* in Paddlesport to name but a few qualifications. She's also completed Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
She has also been a constant in sports: taking part in athletics, swimming, hockey, netball, cross-country, football, at Inter-Squadron, Wing and Regional levels. She has been a positive role model throughout, encouraging her fellow cadets both on and off the field.
FS Fields has attended camps both within the UK and abroad, RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Coningsby, RAF Benson, Camp Troodos (Cyprus), RAF Ramstein (Germany), RAF Aldergrove, and loves nothing better than the annual camp, Nesscliff, a "greens" camp.
Through her achievements, she gained a place on the prestigious International Air Cadet Exchange programme 2013, in which she will be spending two weeks in The Netherlands.
Her flying achievements have been just as good. She has taken the opportunity of gliding and flying that is open to all cadets. Having recently gained her 'silver wings' on a gliding scholarship she can now fly a glider, but not drive a car! In September, she will be taking part in a flying scholarship.
These are just a fraction of things that FS Fields has achieved in her five years in cadets. What's more important is that these, and lots more, are available to all cadets. You only get out of cadets, what you put in.
She now goes forward for the "Dacre Brooch", which is presented to the best female in the country, and we wish her all the very best.
