Parkgate Pupils Bring News of Pumpkins and Planets!

It's been quite an eclectic week at Parkgate Primary School!
Not quite as much of a tongue-twister as Peter and his pickled peppers, but very nearly....it's the Parkgate Primary Pupils' Pumpkin Patch!
Year 4 pupils have been busy watering their pumpkins in their new vegetable growing area.
This fits in with the science curriculum on how plants grow and at Halloween we will harvest our pumpkins and make them into lanterns.
Meanwhile, as part of their Summer topic, imagining they were going on a Mission to Mars, Year 5 at Parkgate have visited Jodrell Bank.
They took part in two workshops: designing safe landing gear for an egg to land on the surface of Mars, and a visit to the Planetarium.
The Planetarium was everyone's favourite as they looked at the stars in the night sky in July, and then looked at all the different constellations.
