Neston Teenager Bags Silver in Pony Jump Championship

14 year old Emily Ward from Neston recently took part in the European Pony Jumping Championships.

At the competition, held in Arezzo, Italy, Emily was competing as part of Team Fairfax, which took silver, after narrowly losing out to Germany in the final.

Emily rode King Mac, an 8 year old chestnut gelding owned by her Nick.

GB Pony Chef d'Equipe, Katrina Moore, said: "We won a team silver against incredibly strong teams and Germany were always going to be the one to beat."
