Volunteer Stewards Needed for Neston Christmas Event
Published: 12th November 2013 13:51 |
Can you help steward on Friday 6th December at the annual Neston Lights ‘n' Lanterns event?
We were delighted with the response last year, and hope we can get even more stewards to help out this year.
CH64 Events Group, Neston Rotary and CAN Group have organized another feast of festive fun for the night, with a lantern parade and programme of entertainment on Neston Cross and Market Square.
Teams of stewards are needed to help set up, marshall crowds and provide information on facilities, and there will be two meetings in advance to organize and train all volunteers.
The event runs from 6 to 8pm, and stewards will be needed from 5pm onwards. All stewards will be provided with high viz vests and walkie talkies and kept warm with hot drinks on the night.
If you can help, please let us know and pass on this callout to anyone else you think may be willing and able to help. Contact CAN Group on 0151 353 8638 or by email.
We would like to hold our first meeting on Monday 25th November in the Town Hall at 7pm, to give everyone a brief for the night and allocate stewarding rolls, then a follow up meeting the week after on Monday 2nd December, Town Hall 7pm, to run through operation of radios and any final amendments. This year the radios will come with ear pieces and mics, as the noise level is quite high during the event and some stewards could not hear instructions over the radios last year.
