This is taking place because the grass cutting season begins on March 3 2014.
It is acknowledge that the removal of Christmas tributes is extremely sensitive and in view of this, the Council is giving the grave owners or visitors the option to dispose of their own Christmas tribute.
If you want to dispose or keep your Christmas tribute then please remove it from the grounds by Sunday, February 16. Cemetery staff will commence further removal on Monday, February 17.
Please note in the Garden of Remembrance areas or the area adjacent to the Book of Remembrance Room at Chester Crematorium, Christmas tributes will be removed from Monday, February 3. This is to ensure that these areas are kept clear for daily usage.
The Council does not remove wreaths from church yards.
