A Big Thank You to Neston from Wirral Scout Post

The weather is changing and the nights are pulling out and Christmas 2013 seems a long while ago but it does take some weeks to audit the sales and delivery figures for the Wirral Scout Post.
However, all the figures are in and, for 2013, the scheme as a whole sold over 510,000 stamps and delivered a corresponding number of cards.
Neston sold just under 30,000 of these stamps and delivered just under 29,000 cards. Over £27,000 will be donated to eighteen Wirral-based charities at the Presentation Evening to be held in Wallasey Town Hall on 4th February. The Mayor of Wirral will be there and he will present the cheques to the charities and the participating scout and guide units.
2013 was the 32nd year of the Scheme and it continues to provide a much-needed income to local scouts and guides as well as supporting local charities with individual donations.
The local Neston organising committee and all the helpers who sold stamps, collected and sorted cards and delivered them wish to say a big "thank you" to all who supported the scheme and hope that the success of the scheme will go onto the 33rd year in 2014.
