There are currently only charity places remaining if you wish to take part in this year's Chester Half Marathon on Sunday 18th May.

Here, Chair of Northern Lights Children's Charity Karen Jones, tells AboutMyArea Neston about the great partnership they have with the race - going strong for the third year running.
Over the last couple of years, the Chester Half Marathon has nominated Northern Lights as their official Charity. We have had a great relationship with the organisers of the event and although this is our last year of being their official charity, I am sure we will continue to work with them for the years to come.
Our aim this year is to raise £20,000, a big challenge, but we already have nearly 50 people who are running the race to raise money for us and we wish them luck in their final weeks of training and fund-raising. The race is now full, but Northern Lights do have a limited number of charity places available to anyone who thinks they can raise £100 for us.
The first £25 will be paid in advance while registering, with the remaining £75 to be raised through sponsorship and sent to us after the race. We will provide runners with a technical running t-shirt to run in on the day, which can be obtained when you come to collect your number prior to the race.
So if anyone would still like to run the Chester Half Marathon on May 18th, and can raise £100, then please click on the following link http://www.activeleisureevents.co.uk/half-marathon.aspx and enter the race as soon as possible.
Many thanks for your support.
