Neston resident and keen cyclist Brian MacDonald is joining in with Britain's ultimate cycling challenge.
The Great Tour is a 64 day, 4000 mile cycle ride around the entire coastline of Britain. It begins and ends in Holyhead, Anglesey, starting on Saturday July 4 and ending on September 5. Brian will be taking part in the first ten days of the tour, finishing in the west of Scotland, covering 1000 kilometres.
He will be fundraising for the events' six charity partners - Alzheimer's Society, Macmillan Cancer Support, Leukaemia & Lymphona Research, Anthony Nolan Trust, Action For A-T and CTC, the National Cycling Charity.
If you would like to follow Brian and his fellow riders, see their Facebook page here. If you would like to sponsor him, please go to the JustGiving page here.
The Great Tour cyclists will be spending one night in Parkgate, arriving at Neston Cricket Club around tea-time on Sunday July 5th.
