The start of the new term brings exciting plans for the performing arts in Neston.
Award winning Registered Charity Little Actors Theatre is based at Neston Community and Youth Centre and offers a wide range of professionally led drama, singing and dance activities for everyone from 2½ to 100 - no matter what your ability!
DRAMATOTS caters for preschool children who explore singing, dance and drama with their parents/carers whilst the THEATRE CLUB, for primary school aged children, serves to develop skills to devise and present a new play. We are entering this group into the 2016 Leverhulme Drama Festival. Using physical theatre, improvisation, and resource material the play will be linked to 2016 WW1 commemorations from the child's perspective. These two groups are held on Saturday mornings at Neston's Community and Youth Centre.
On Wednesday we hold the InterACT YOUTH THEATRE for ages 11+ to further develop their drama skills and they will participate in the National Theatre's Connections 500, the 21st anniversary of this celebration of youth theatre and new writing across the country.
Adult dancers also meet on Wednesday evening exploring different styles of dance in a relaxed, fun environment.
All workshops are led by professional actors Natasha Symms (soon to be seen on Emmerdale - 25th September), Mike Lockley and Samantha Giblin.
