Power of Georgie Continues with Zumbathon for Two Charities

Neston resident Emma Weaver was delighted with the result of a Zumbathon held in Heswall at the weekend.
Run by 'Zumba Claire' (aka Claire Pearce), the event, which also included a cake sale, raffle and balloon release, was very well attended and raised a cracking £1475.66, which has now been sent on to two charities close to Emma's heart.
Zumba participants, including Emma and daughter Jessica (middle front), raised a whopping £1475.66 at the weekend.
At the end of May 2014, Emma's second daughter, Georgie, sadly passed away at just 5 days old, from a rare condition called Tracheal Agenesis. Since then, the entire family, including Georgie's older sister Jessica, have been raising money for Alder Hey Children's Hospital, who looked after Georgie and the family so caringly. Proceeds from Saturday's Zumbathon have also been split with Cancer Research UK.
Emma said: "It was a rip-roaring success, I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part.
"The day couldn't have happened without the lovely Claire putting everybody through their paces!"
