The Friends of Hadlow Road Station offered refreshments to the runners as they gathered for the start of the event.
Tea is served! Photo by Linda Pelling After setting off in their pristine, white t.shirts, the participants that emerged at the other end were a somewhat different sight!
Along the way they had been pelted with various coloured powders by an army of willing volunteers. A touch of irony, perhaps, about the slogan on some of the ink-throwers' shirts (see photo below) - yes, our 'new look branch' is about to be a pizzeria!

This great community event raises funds for a very good cause and long may it continue. It was part of the Go Neston! weekender, which also included Neston Village Fair and the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool cycle ride, which came through Parkgate, Neston, Ness and Burton.

This one's funny...'There I was, just minding my own business on a nice Sunday cycle ride, and THIS is what happened....'

And, finally....If you didn't know what had gone on earlier in the day and were out for a quiet stroll on the Wirral Way, what would you make of THIS?
