Mixing work and play is at the heart of the Air Cadets - getting stuck into sport is fun, you'll build friendships and learn how to use your strengths to best effect in a team.
This is at the heart of 2375 Neston Air Cadet's philosophy. Air Cadets participate in sports at various levels, gaining recognition for themselves, their Squadron, Wing, Region and can even be selected to represent the Corps.
There are frequent tournaments between squadrons, where the best athletes are selected to represent their wing. The same then happens for the region, with wings competing against each other and the best athletes making up the regional team. If you make it through each of those selections then you're good - really good.
Cdt Kian Bird (2375 Neston Air Cadets) took part in the regional event competing for Wales and West region under 15 boys in relay and 200m on Saturday 24th June, with the following results:
- Relay - (2nd place) Second fastest relay in the Corps
- 200m, - (5th place) Fifth fastest 200m cadet in the Corps
- Wales and West came 3rd overall.
The CO Paul Thelwell commented "Well done Cdt Bird, proud of you today, It'll be my pleasure to present your medal".
A huge congratulation to Cadet Kian Bird for all his achievements.
