Another Accolade for Neston's InterACT Youth Theatre

Award winning InterACT Youth Theatre have added another award to its collection this year.
At the National Drama Festival Association All Winners' British Final, the group won the Nan Nuttall Memorial Award.
Coming second to a youth theatre from Watford, the award recognised the contribution of the group to youth engagement. The final NDFA final was held at the lovely Lamproom Theatre in Barnsley.
This followed the group's success at the Leverhulme Drama Festival earlier in the year where they won the Under 16s category and the Adjudicators special award for such a 'stunning' production of Lizzie Nunnery's 'The Snow Dragons'.
Samantha Giblin received the award on behalf of InterACT Youth Theatre from the Mayor of Barnsley, Cllr Linda Burgess
Samantha Giblin from InterACT said: "The play, commissioned by National Theatre Connections, has proved to be a huge success for this group of young actors aged 11- 16 years. A great team effort involving professional directors, young cast members and adult volunteers."
The group has again been selected for National Theatre Connections 2018 and have chosen the play 'The Blue Electric Wind' by Brad Birch. This will be performed in March in Neston before transferring to The Lowry in May. The group will also enter their play in the Leverhulme Drama Festival in April to see if they can repeat their successes.
New members are always welcome and scholarships are available. InterACT Youth Theatre meets Wednesdays 5-7pm at NC&YC. Details from 0151 336 4302 or email InterACT@littleactorstheatre.com.
