On Saturday March 17th, 32 people and several dogs took part in the traditional Christian Aid sponsored walk from Neston to Gayton and back.
It was a cold, windy and sometimes snowy day, with even more mud than usual!

Margaret Heibel and Cheryl Ellis served hot drinks and snacks at the Gayton half-way stop. Back at the United Reformed Church, Lynne Vaughan and Margaret Heibel provided home-made soup, and Ray Renfrey and Rob Ward supplied home-baked bread. We are most grateful to the URC for inviting us to to use their hall yet again.
On March 23rd and 24th we will be collecting at Aldi. This is a new venture for us. There are a few one-hour slots where one person is on their own, and would welcome a volunteer to keep them company. Lynne Vaughan is organising the rota, contact 0151 336 8920 or by email.
On Saturday May 12th we will be collecting at Gordale. On Sunday May 13th the Christian Aid service will be at St Thomas' Church, Parkgate at 6.30 pm. Christian Aid week is May 13 to 19, and anybody willing to do house-to-house collecting will be helping those people who really need support.
As ever, all of the money we collect will go to help the most needy people in the world.
