Costa's Chloé is Neston Born and Bred

Chloé Hazlehurst is now store manager of Costa Coffee in Neston. She shares the story of how her journey with franchise owner Sim Trava began.

I joined Costa Neston as a Barista in January 2016. I was so excited to be opening a brand-new shop in my hometown and working for a new company.

I had never heard of a franchise before, it was all a learning curve for me. I worked in the Neston Costa for six months before being promoted to Assistant Manager at our Frodsham Branch.

I always said I would become Store Manager of Neston one day, the town in which I was born and grew up in. My Nan, Jean Benson, was a popular Neston resident who used to own Bensons the greengrocers with her brother Gerald. I remember going to visit Nan in the shop when I was little and always saying how I would want to run my own store one day.

After being in Frodsham for two years, I finally came back to Neston last year and became the full-time Store Manager.

Sim Trava have really helped me to grow into the person I am today. If somebody had said to me in less than five years I would go from being a trainee barista to running my own store, I would not have believed them.
