It's Fairtrade Fortnight 21st February to 6th March when we can come together to share stories of the people in less economically developed countries, who are the very source of ourfood and drink and gold and clothes.
For two weeks each year at the end of February and start of March, individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to share the stories of the people in less economically developed countries who grow our food and drinks, mine our gold and who grow the cotton for our clothes. People who are often exploited and underpaid.
This year's Fairtrade Fortnight continues the theme of ‘Climate, Fairtrade and You. Choose the World You Want' with the aim of shining the spotlight on loss and damage and why farmers in low income countries need money to fight the climate crisis, Neston Fairtrade Town Group are holding an information display stall at Neston
Market on Friday 25th February and a Traidcraft Big Brew at the Welcome Café, Neston Methodist Church and Community Centre, on Friday 4th March.
There will be an online festival designed to engage, inform and educate through performances, workshops, panel discussions and collaborations between the Fairtrade Foundation and retailers, chefs, and high profile names in the world of food and sustainability.
Together we can make a difference!
