Neston & District Christian Aid Committee

The local Christian Aid committee is part of Neston and District Churches Together (NDCT), which represents the churches in Burton, Little Neston, Neston, Parkgate and Willaston.
Members organise a sponsored walk (normally in March but in 2022 in October), a bucket collection at Gordale Garden Centre, and envelope collections at churches during Christian Aid Week in May, and bucket collections at Gordale and Neston Market Square at Christmas.
All the money raised is sent to Christian Aid Head Office: in 2019 we sent over £12,000.
An ecumenical service is held in a local church during Christian Aid Week.
Christian Aid's motto is ‘We believe in life before death'. They work in 50 countries through local organisations to deliver direct, practical benefits, and campaign to challenge the causes of poverty. A detailed description of the aims and work of Christian Aid can be found on christian-aid.org.
